Education

Adabistan-e- Soophia offers education to children from Montessori to Class XII. At present the Trust has three institutes working under it. Adabistan-e-Soophia High School for Girls, Adabisan-e-Soophia High School for Boys and Soophia College of Arts and Sciences. Its registration for degree college has also been done. The School is also launching O-level classes from August 2005.

Play group to Class VIII:
Apart from regular subjects Arabic, Computer, Literature, Handwork, Sewing, Cooking and Technical Drawing form an integral part of Soophia System of Education.

Laboratories

In Soophia System of Education prime importance is given to the practical observation and learning by students so as to make things easier for them to grasp. The process of introduction to practical experience regarding the subjects starts right from the beginning in play Group section where students are taught by look and see method. This process continues as more detailed study of different subjects is included in the curriculum.

The School is proud to have some of the best equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In addition to these a separate cooking Laboratory for girls and psychological testing laboratory are also available. The latest addition to these is the computer laboratory with Pentium computers.

Computer Facilities

Keeping in view the demands of modern-day society computer studies are now offered as a part of the regular timetable. Adabistan-e-Soophia maintaining its tradition of incorporating new changes regularly had installed latest Pentium computers in 1999. The school intends to regularly increase the number of computers and install them in all the class rooms which shall help the computer aided learning programme. The school is already offering computer courses to students from Class I to X. A plan to conduct the subjects tests on computers, which shall be automatically marked by the computer to further standardize the examination and marking system, is also under consideration.

Psychological Testing

In Soophia system of Education emphasis is laid on the individual inclination and aptitude of the student through proper counseling. A special laboratory has been established for this purpose where regular tests are conducted to asses the IQ level of the students.
It includes:
Individual and group counseling.
Personality assessment.
Education counseling
Career evaluation and counseling (Senior Classes)

Extra Curricular Activities

In order to develop the basic skills of a child different activities are arranged every week in which participation of all students is encouraged.

Mehfil-e-Zikar-e-Haq

A highly effective educational activity in which students are given an assignment every month from topics of the Holy Quran. These assignments are presented on every first Friday of the month.

Bazm-e-Munazra

Debating society arranges regular competitions for debates in order to enhance the speaking ability of students.

Majilis-e-Shoara

Highlights the development and work of well-known poets of different languages and literatures.

Bazm-e-Akhbar

Students produce their own magazine / newspaper. All its staff is from the students including Editor and Sub-Editors.

Bazm-e-Tamseel

Dramatic Society prepares tableaus and variety programmes for different functions all round the year.

Physical Training

Physical training is compulsory part of the school curriculum and all students are expected to participate in it. Following sports are included:
Badminton, Basketball, Netball, Volleyball, Football and Athletics.

The School Building

Adabistan-e-Soophia started operations in an old colonial residential house in mid forties. A fully equipped and functional campus was envisaged and designed in 1969. The foundation stone of the school’s new block was laid in year 1979. Since then the school mainly through its own resources has constructed the main quadrangle of the proposed scheme.
